About Us
Pinot Vista Vineyards is the realization of a dream and vision passed on to the Washburn family from owner Sherry Lewis after her partner, Paul, passed away summer of 2016. In appreciation of Rich Washburn rescuing the 2016 harvest and taking over the vineyard operations, soon her trust and confidence developed into her wish for Rich and his sons to continue the vineyard’s potential, and bring their legacy to fruition.
The estate is located in the western foothills near Salem in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. The rich, clay-like soil provides its nutrient-dense properties to a Pinot Noir vineyard that is accompanied by a hazelnut orchard. The premium location, slope, and overall heavenly terrior is one of the tried and true ingredients for an award-winning Pinot Noir recipe.
The Tasting Lounge was first established in February of 2017 in the McMinnville Mercantile Building in Downtown McMinnville. “The Lounge” is a comfy, classy, and country wine bar that has become a sanctuary for many locals in McMinnville, often referred to by the locals as their “Cheers” bar. At the lounge, a vast variety of wines are offered from the Pinot Vista Vineyards brand, and hand-picked wines from friends in the wine industry.
An intimate event venue is on vineyard site. The Villa has hosted weddings, birthdays, holidays, wine club parties, and a few public events. Eventually the venue will be open regularly for booking.
We are dedicated to the classic style of development, and continual improvement of a truly amazing operation. At Pinot Vista Vineyards, we are committed to sustainable agricultural methodologies to ensure that the estate will continue as a viable living force, truly evergreen, passed from generation to generation.

Meet “The Washburn Brothers”
Rich Washburn
Rich, the father of the Washburn Brothers, is the reason why Pinot Vista exists today. He is the face of the tasting lounge in McMinnville.
Being the owner and president, Rich is heavily involved in all operations of the business. He is most commonly found working in the lounge, and on the rare days off, working with his son in the Vineyard. His love for the community of McMinnville is seen through the unique tasting experience he shares with customers.
He looks forward to serving wine lovers with a personal and relaxed perspective, and strives to continue building the dream of Pinot Vista Vineyards.
Cody Washburn
Cody, the oldest brother in the Washburn family, manages the vineyard and landscaping operations on the estate.
On the rare occasion he’s not working on the farm, he can be found bartending, hosting and working events, managing social media/website operations, and trying to keep up with his brother on the golf course.
Cody aspires to continue the legacy of the family business and create many great relationships along the way.
Tanner Washburn
Tanner, the youngest of the Washburn brothers, has been steadily involved in many aspects of the business.
Commonly seen at events at the tasting room, Tanner has also helped in sales, social media marketing, bartending, and being an extra set of hands for his brother on the farm.
Tanner looks forward to serving unique wines to the wonderful community of McMinnville, and growing Pinot Vista to its full potential.
